Fe29’s Venturing Out is a compilation of small exhibitions to welcome our clients back following the Covid-19 lockdown.
New to Fe29 is noted textile and mixed-media artist Lauren Lysaght. Three works from her Walhnutu series welcome visitors in the entrance hallway. Alongside, hang silhouette paintings from Viky Garden’s Passenger and Nature Nurture series.
For those who missed Amy Melchior ‘s Lost World exhibition, a selection of these encaustic works can be seen in the office gallery. On display in the main gallery are large John Drawbridge oil paintings accompanied by a number of smaller works on paper (watercolour, acryclic and mezzotints), These were put up for the House & Garden Tour which was cancelled at the last minute just prior to lockdown.
Taking on a Pacific feel, the living room features two large works not previously shown at Fe29 – Homage to Gottfried Lindauer – Eruera Maihi Patuone (1972 ) by Robert Macdonald and Carrefour by Cecilia Mickelsen.
Several new to Fe29 Tanya Ashken works are also on show throughout the gallery and grounds. For those seeking more intimate works, the gallery has a few introductory pieces by carver Doug Marsden.
More images will be loaded over the next few days.
